| The PsyD degree program in forensic psychology is currently offered by the Center for Forensic Studies on fiveAlliant International University campuses - Fresno, Irvine, San Diego, Los Angeles and Sacramento - and will open in San Francisco in August 2009. The program offers convenient evening and weekend classes.
This doctoral program is offered by the Center for Forensic Studies (CFS), of Alliant International University. CFS specializes in training professionals to become both psychological and legal experts in forensic settings and prepares students for professional licensing.
The Forensic PsyD program emphasizes the application of forensic psychological theory and practice in individual and group settings. Students will receive training and practical experience working with clients from a number of different venues including juvenile hall, jail, prison, California Youth Authority, probation, parole, group homes, and other forensic settings. Students will become familiar with legislation pertaining to forensic mental health issues.
Additional courses focus on mental health issues including police stress, addiction, sex offending, domestic violence, serial killing, juvenile delinquency, and stalking
